Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 18th century. It has a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and stacks, topped with a thatched roof. The building features three framed bays that are aligned in a north-west to south-east direction, facing south-west. It has an axial stack and a south-east gable-end stack that includes a bread oven. There are two doorways on the facade. The cottage is a single storey with an attic, featuring one central eyebrow dormer with a 4-pane casement window. On the ground floor, there is a glazed lean-to porch and a 2-light glazing bar casement window to the left. To the right of the second doorway, which has a ledged door, are two 2-light casement windows. The framing of the cottage appears largely intact, with a light scantling of two and three irregular square panels.
