Description

Tidnor Cross Cottage is an 18th-century house located in Lugwardine. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill, featuring a sandstone plinth and a brick chimney stack. The roof is slate-covered. The building originally had three framed bays aligned north to south, facing west. A central entrance and a stack on the south gable end are present. The house has two storeys, with two 2-light casement windows. A 20th-century half-glazed door is also present. The timber framing originally comprised three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with short bracing in the top panel, connecting the main posts to the wall-plate. The roof was raised, which created an additional panel in the framing.
