Description

Old Birchend is an early 19th-century farmhouse, now divided into apartments. The building is constructed of red brick with a sandstone plinth and has a hipped slate roof. It follows a single-depth plan with a central entrance and end stacks, and includes a rear service wing. The farmhouse has three storeys and a cellar, with three windows featuring glazing bar sashes and flat gauged brick arches. A central gabled porch covers a six-panelled door.
