Two adjoining houses, Clematis Cottage to west, Heywood Thatches to east. Possibly C17, altered C20. Timber-framed rendered infill, sandstone plinth and stacks and part refacing, brick C20 additions, thatched roof. Three framed bays to Clematis Cottage aligned east/west adjoining further three framed bays of Heywood Thatches to east, north side to road, C20 additions to south and east; gable entry; large axial stack and gable end stack to west, north lateral stack now capped. Single storey and attic; north front, two eyebrow dormer windows with 2-light casement windows, two small 4-paned windows to right of right dormer to Clematis Cottage, two windows to left of left dormer to Heywood Thatches. C20 doors to gable entrances, porch to Heywood Thatches. Irregular and altered square panelled framing, generally three panels from sill to wall-plate.
