Description
A pair of cottages, dating from the 17th century. They are timber framed and have been pebble-dashed, with a gabled thatched roof encased in painted corrugated iron. The cottages are of one storey with attics, and have four gabled dormers containing 19th-century small-paned casement windows. Two large, square ridge stacks are present. The windows are 20th-century casements, and one cottage, “Tin Tops,” has an open, wide lattice porch. “Clematis” has a lean-to on the west end. Inside, there is a substantial timber frame of wide span with jowled posts.
