Description
The Old Vicarage is a house from the early 19th century that features some earlier elements. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a hipped, central well roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a square plan. On the west side, there is a large stack with five octagonal shafts that have been cement rendered. Both the west and front sides showcase a large painted timber cornice with dentils. The north and east sides have coved plaster eaves. The north elevation includes one leaded light casement dormer, while the east side has two similar windows. The front features angle pilaster strips and a paired double-hung sash window with small panes on either side of a single, similar double-hung sash window. The ground floor has two matching windows and a central projecting porch, which has a flat top, half columns against the walls, and full Tuscan columns of smaller diameter supporting the outer face. The early 19th-century door consists of six panels and is topped with a semi-circular fanlight that has Gothick intersecting glazing bars.
