Description
This granary, located 15 yards north of Bowerland Farmhouse, dates from around 1700. It features a timber frame set on a coursed stone plinth, with brick above and weatherboard cladding. The main roof is covered with plain tiles, while a pent roof extension at the front has a corrugated asbestos roof made of cement blocks. The building is two storeys high and has one two-light window opening in the centre of the gable and another on the ground floor to the right. There are two additional windows on the ground floor of the right-hand return front. Planked doors lead to the first floor on the return front to the right and on the ground floor to the right. There is a flat lintelled opening on the ground floor to the left, which provides access to stairs leading to the first floor. This structure is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
