1/16 Granary approx 10 metres to east of Kiln Farmhouse

GV II

Granary. Late C17, altered. Timber-frame with weatherboard cladding on staddle stones; plain tile half-hipped roof. 3 x 1 bays with a board hatch to each side, and the north gable with concrete steps up to board door flanked by hatches. Interior: jowelled wall posts with arch braces to tie-beams; "raised cruck" -type roof trusses with collars and principal rafters; old rafters; 2 tiers of through purlins; straight wind braces. Walls with horizontal boards; 3 bins along west wall. The roof construction is the same as in the barn (qv).
