Description
The granary is a late 18th-century building that has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, and the original weatherboarding has likely been replaced with corrugated sheeting, which is now under a pitched, corrugated sheet roof.
The granary has a rectangular plan and is a single-storey structure with a loft above, raised on staddle stones. Replacement steps lead up to a central plank door located on the north side.
Inside, the lower part of the inner walls is boarded and features vertical slots for dividing boards, with some diagonal bracing above. The upper floor is also boarded, and the two-bay roof includes a single chamfered truss with a tie beam and yoked collar, while the flanking timbers are hipped.
