Description
The Beehive is a public house dating from around 1500, with additions made in the mid-20th century to the north and west. The building features a timber frame with a later brick plinth and pebbledash render, along with additional rendered brick sections. It has an old tiled roof with an end stack to the south and an off-centre ridge stack to the north. Originally, it had an open hall consisting of three framed bays and is now two storeys high.
On the east front, there are five first-floor two-light casements, and on the ground floor, there are two three-light casements to the left and three two-light casements to the right. A 20th-century door is located between the first and second windows from the left, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled rustic timber porch. Inside, there is a 17th-century inserted floor in the central framed bay, along with arch bracing and smoke-blackened roof timbers.
