Description

This granary, located at the north-west of the yard at Lodge Farm in Tillington, dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is a weatherboarded, timber-framed structure supported on stone staddle stones, with some of these replaced in brick. The building has an old tiled roof and is a single storey with three bays. It features a half-hipped roof and a three-bay interior that includes lapped boarding and in situ grain bins. The interior also has a single arched braced truss with two struts and three collars, along with a trenched purlin roof where most joints are pegged.
