Description
This is a house located at Roundabouts Farm, dating from the 16th century or earlier, but it was refronted in the early 19th century. The structure is timber-framed with cement or brick infill, and it has been refronted in stone rubble with red brick dressings on the ground floor, while one side is tile-hung above. The roof is hipped and tiled, featuring gablets and an off-center brick chimneystack, which suggests that it may have originally been an open hall house. The building has two storeys and three windows, primarily 19th-century casement windows, with one 19th-century leaded light casement at one end. There is a 20th-century wooden porch at the rear, but an early 19th-century door on the other side has been blocked. Additionally, there is a 19th-century brick lean-to addition with a cambered opening. The frame consists of three bays with diagonal braces.
