Description
This is a barn located about 5 metres north-west of Wood Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century with some early 19th century and mid-20th century repairs. The barn is constructed with a timber frame, featuring some woven infill, and has weatherboarded gables and sides. The roof is clad with corrugated iron. It consists of four framed bays that are aligned east to west, with a threshing floor situated to the east of the centre. The west bay has a rubble ground floor and a gable end. The threshing floor is accessed through a pair of full-height doors, while the adjacent bay includes a loft door above an entrance that has a plain wooden architrave and a ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of four square panels high. The intermediate roof trusses are supported by two raking struts, and the gable ends feature three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
