Description
This barn, located about 25 metres north-east of Church House, dates from the 17th century and has some alterations from the mid-19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame that includes some woven infill, and it is clad in weatherboards and corrugated iron, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn features seven framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east orientation, with a central threshing floor located in the three southern bays and the next three bays. There are full-height double doors on the farmyard side (south-west), and a lintel at a lower level on the opposite side. The framing consists of three and four square panels stacked high. Each intermediate truss has two raking struts, while the gable ends have three struts to the collar, with V-struts at the apex and trenched purlins.
