Description
Oldfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations from the mid-19th century and late 20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill that is partially rough cast, and it has a machine tile roof. The building is in an L-plan shape, with wings extending to the southeast and northeast. There is an external rubble stack at the north end of the south wing.
On the northwest front, there is a stack to the right with an attached oven. To the left, the building has two storeys with two 20th-century casement windows. The entrance is roughly central and features a tiled lean-to porch. The framing includes close-studding with a mid-rail and a straight tension brace on the ground floor, while the first floor has three square panels high. Inside, there is one moulded ceiling beam and another beam with chamfers and stops.
