Description
This barn, located about 50 metres north-west of Ashley Moor Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and has some repairs from the late 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame featuring woven infill and weatherboarding, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of three framed bays arranged in a north-east to south-west direction, with a central threshing floor. There are full-height double doors leading to the threshing floor. The framing includes three square panels high with passing straight tension braces. Each intermediate truss has raking struts, while the gable-end trusses feature two struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
