Description

This barn, located approximately 15 metres north-west of Redcastle Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is timber-framed with 20th-century brick infill and has a tiled roof. The structure consists of three bays aligned east to west, featuring a central threshing floor. The design includes three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with three struts supporting the collar of the end truss, which is further enhanced by V-struts in the gable. Note that Redcastle Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
