4/35 Barn about 20 yards south east of Oldcastle Farmhouse -

GV II

Barn. Late C17 - early C18. Timber-framed, weatherboards, half-hipped roof in slate. 5 bays: 4 are fully framed; the right hand has a stone end wall, opposed entrances one bay from right through full-height ledged doors; small single storey extension to rear left. 3 panels from cill to eaves. Interior: threshing floor; entrance-bay trusses have central plank post supports to tie- beams and raking struts; other bays have queen-posts to collars above which are raking struts.
