Description

This barn, located about 25 meters south of Church Farm House, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a tiled roof. The structure consists of five bays, with a central threshing bay facing the yard. The roof is half hipped to the left, and there is a stable extension to the right with a hipped roof. Inside, the barn has queen struts that clasp through the purlins, and straight braces connect lightly jowled wall posts to straight tie beams. Additionally, there is a curved brace from a wall post to the wall plate in the entrance bay. The weatherboarded stabling extensions are oriented towards the yard.
