Description
62 and 64 Blanche Lane is a building that was formerly known as the Prince's Arms Inn. It has been altered and is now divided into two dwellings, originally built in the late 17th century to early 18th century. The structure features a timber frame that is cased in brick and weatherboarding, topped with a machine tile roof. It stands two storeys tall and has seven bays on the ground floor. The entrances are located in the third and fifth bays, with the original entrance on the left side. There is a carriage entrance to the far left, next to No. 60. The doors are half glazed, with a hood over the entrance to No. 62. The windows are glazing bar sashes with timber surrounds, featuring cambered heads on the ground floor, five on the first floor, and a two-light casement above the carriage entrance. A plat band separates the storeys of No. 64. There is a stack on the rear pitch to the right, and the roof is hipped to the right where it meets a gabled cross wing. The rear has four gables, and the right return wall and rear part are weatherboarded. There is a 20th-century single-storey rear addition. The interior has not been inspected.
