Description

A cottage, likely dating from the early 18th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill panels, a stone left gable, and a continuous tiled roof. A local brick end stack features offsets and a detached shaft. The cottage is one storey with an attic, comprising two bays. It has 19th-century casement windows, a 20th-century dormer window to the rear, and a 19th-century ledged door sheltered by a small canopy which also protects the adjacent contemporary casement windows. A 20th-century extension is located to the rear right. The timber framing consists of three square panels extending from the cill to the eaves. It forms a close group with No 2 Barton Cottages and Broadleigh.
