Description
Robin's Croft is a cottage likely dating from the 18th century, with alterations and a 20th-century extension to the rear. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill, and has a tiled roof, originally thatched. The cottage features brick stacks, including one at the ridge to the left of centre, and end stacks. Originally a straight range of three framed bays, the cottage is single-storey with an attic. The 20th century saw replacement windows; there are three eyebrow dormers, each with a 2-light casement, and similar windows on the ground floor, two to the right of the entrance. A later open porch provides access to a plank door. The timber framing remains fairly complete, with brick gable ends constructed of three panels from sill to wall-plate, the lower two irregular, and with diagonal braces from sill to posts.
