Description
Woodbury Grange is a converted cruck barn, possibly dating from the 15th century, with alterations from the 18th century. The structure features timber-framed trusses, brick external walls, and a tiled roof. The barn is oriented roughly north east to south west and forms the north west boundary of a fold yard. It consists of six gabled bays, with a threshing floor located in the third bay from the right. The barn displays irregular patterned perforated brickwork and short buttressing. Originally, it likely had full-cruck trusses throughout, but now only three central crucks remain, along with remnants of the collar, yoke, and spurs. The other trusses date from the late 17th to early 18th century and include inclined struts, with a brick end gable. The barn has group value with the adjoining bullock shed and hay loft to the south west. A mid-19th century projecting stable wing towards the center of the barn is not included in the listing.
