Description

The Granary is an 18th-century bullock shed with a hay loft built over it. It is timber-framed with a brick rear wall and a tiled roof. The building forms the south-western enclosure of a fold yard at right angles to a nearby barn. The ground floor is open to the yard, with a weatherboarded hay loft above. Each bay has a central, square, shuttered opening. The internal structure features complete, interrupted tie-beam trusses, and two purlins on each side. The building has group value in relation to the adjacent barn. A later brick shed attached to the south-east is not included as part of this listing.
