Description

The Cottage is an outbuilding, likely a former cartshed or cowhouse with a hayloft above, dating from around 1700. It features a timber frame with sections of brick and wattle-and-daub infill, topped with a tiled roof. The building has a two-bay plan and is single storey with an attic. The main elevation includes a ground floor casement window and a planked double and single door, while the hayloft has two doors set within panels. The left end gable has an attic door also set within a panel. At the rear, there is a 20th-century outshut. Inside, the roof frame consists of three collar trusses, with the central truss featuring brick infill to create a partition.
