Description
Upper House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with an earlier wing at the rear. The main structure is built of brick with a dark red brick facing and is rendered at the back, topped with a hipped tiled roof. It stands three storeys high with a cellar and features a brick dentilled eaves cornice. The house has three bays, and all the windows are sash windows with central glazing bars and gauged flat heads. The doorcase includes an open pediment, a pilastered surround, a barred segmental fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The earlier timber-framed wing at the rear is rendered and has a tiled roof, with three external brick stacks. This wing is one storey high with an attic and has irregular casement windows.
