Barn. Mid- to late C17 with some C19 alterations. Weatherboarded timber frame with some red brick nogging at rear; brick and sandstone rubble plinth; corrugated iron roof. 3 framed bays. Framing: square panels, 3 from sole plate to wall plate. One storey and loft. Central C20 raking loft-dormer. Boarded door to right and C20 door off-centre to left. The barn forms part of a small farmstead group with Castle Hill Farmhouse (q.v.).
