Description

This barn, located 30 yards to the northeast of Hill Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and red brick infill panels, resting on brick and stone foundations. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with plain tiles, featuring gabled ends. The barn consists of three bays, and the former cart entrance in the central bay has been bricked up in the 19th century, with a plank door and small paned metal casements added. Inside, there is a tie beam supported by angle struts and twin diagonal braces connecting the wall posts to the tie beams.
