Description

This is an early 17th century timber-framed cottage range, located on the south side of Mallory Road in Bishops Tachbrook. The building comprises two properties, number 3 and number 5. Number 3 has painted render infill panels, while the front of number 5 is roughly rendered, although the timber framing is exposed on the gable end. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with modern plain tiles, featuring gabled ends. It is a one-storey and attic building with a seven-window range. Number 3 has a modern plank door on the right-hand side, along with modern casement windows with glazing bars. Number 5 has a small shop front to the left, featuring a central glazed door flanked by shop windows. There are two gabled dormers. Three brick chimney stacks project from the gables, one from each.
