Description

This is a circa 17th-century timber-framed cottage with an adjoining 19th-century brick blacksmith's workshop. The cottage has painted brick infill panels and a plinth. It has a steeply pitched shingle roof with gabled ends. The building is one storey and attic, with a two-window front. Modern plank doors and three-light casement windows are present. Two gabled dormers with casements are also visible. Two brick ridge chimney stacks are on the roof. The blacksmith's workshop is attached to the right of the cottage and has a painted brick front elevation. It has a slightly lower, steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends, and two pairs of wooden cart doors as well as one gabled dormer with casements.
