Description

This is a circa 17th-century timber-framed cottage located on Church Hill in Bishops Tachbrook. It has painted brick infill panels between the timbers. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with modern plain tiles, featuring gabled ends. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, originally featuring a two-window front. The east gable wall has been rebuilt in red brick, and the eastern end of the front elevation was likely rebuilt at the same time, incorporating decorative, imitation timber framing. A modern plank door is set within an open porch on the left side, and the cottage includes two modern oriel bow windows. There are two gabled dormers, each containing a two-light casement window.
