Description
No. 30 Church Hill is a cottage dating from around the 17th century, which was raised in height in the 18th century. The exterior is finished in painted roughcast with a sandstone plinth, while the timber framing is exposed at the rear. It features a steeply pitched modern plain tile roof with gabled ends. The cottage has two storeys and a two-window range. To the left, there is a modern panelled oak door, and the windows are modern six-light mullion and transom casements. On the first floor, there are two four-light mullion and transom casements. At the rear, there is a projecting sandstone chimney stack with a red brick shaft. Inside, some timber framing is exposed, along with chamfered and stop-ended ceiling beams and an open fireplace.
