Description

Attwood Cottage is a 17th century timber-framed cottage built on stone foundations. It features painted brick infill panels and a thatched roof with hipped ends. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has a later staircase wing that extends at right angles to the north, which is painted roughcast and has a thatched gabled roof. The windows are various modern casements, and there are two brick chimney stacks. At the western end, there is a catslide roof over an outshut. Inside, the timber framing is exposed, and there are chamfered and stop-ended ceiling beams along with open fireplaces.
