Description

Eden Cottage is a circa 17th-century timber-framed cottage located on Oakley Wood Road in Bishops Tachbrook. It sits on a sandstone plinth and has later painted brick additions at the rear. The timber frame is filled with painted brick panels. The cottage has a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends; the south gable was rebuilt in brick and painted. It is two storeys high and has a two-window front. The windows are modern casements with glazing bars. A truncated brick ridge chimney stack is present. A one-storey and attic brick addition extends to the rear, featuring two gabled dormers and modern casements. A modern glazed door is on the right-hand side.
