3/21 Barn about 30m west of 29.7.55 Hall Farm House (formerly listed as Mellis Hall and Barn, Mellis Green)

Barn. Late C16, extended C19. Timber frame on red brick base. Rendered, weatherboarded and corrugated sheet clad. Corrugated sheet roof. 7 bays. Central doors, midstrey to rear removed. Two c19 storeyed bays added to left. Extending forwards from right bay a 1 storey range, weatherboarded with stable doors, slate roof. C20 additions to rear are not of special interest. Interior: jowled posts with arched braces to cambered tie beams, braces largely missing or replaced by knees, arched braces to cambered collars, arched windbraces to butt purlins.
