Description
Beekeepers Cottage is a house that was originally built in the 17th century, later extended in the 18th century, and altered in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered and has a thatched roof. The building appears as two broad sections with a central chimney stack, and it was likely originally composed of two smaller sections before being extended to the left. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with two entrances at either end that have half-glazed doors. There are also two-light 20th-century casement windows with hoodboards and two dormer windows with gabled heads. The central chimney stack is made of red brick. The gable and attic lights reveal exposed plates and purlins. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear right. Inside, the timber frame is mostly hidden, with thinner framing on the left and straight tension braces.
