Description
This barn, located about 20 meters east of Home Farm House, dates back to around 1600. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding and corrugated sheet cladding, topped by a steeply pitched corrugated roof. The barn consists of five bays and has a central lean-to midstrey that faces away from the house, complete with opposing double doors. There are 20th-century additions at the rear that are not considered of special interest. Inside, the barn showcases close studding with a mid-rail, and while most braces from the posts to the tie beams have been replaced by knees, one cranked brace and one reverse curved brace remain. The roof includes a double butt purlin structure with upper arched windbraces and collars to the principal rafters.
