MELLIS THE COMMON (NORTH WEST TM 07 SE SIDE) 3/29 Barn about 35m east of 29.7.55 White House Farm House (formerly listed as White House and two barns, Mellis Green)

Barn. C18. Timber frame, weatherboarded and rendered. StEeply pitched corrugated sheet roof. 6 bays. Gabled midstrey to left of centre facing away from house, opposing double doors. Lean-to addition to left of midstrey. Interior: 2 bays to left of entrance bay are divided to form 4 small bays, straight braces from jowled posts to tie beams are largely replaced by knees, studding without mid rail, double staggered tenoned purlin roof with collars to principal rafters.
