Description
This is a barn located about 35 meters east of White House Farm House, dating from the 18th century. It has a timber frame that is weatherboarded and rendered, topped with a steeply pitched corrugated sheet roof. The barn consists of six bays and features a gabled midstrey to the left of center, which faces away from the house and has opposing double doors. There is a lean-to addition to the left of the midstrey. Inside, the two bays to the left of the entrance bay are divided to create four small bays. The straight braces from the jowled posts to the tie beams have mostly been replaced by knee braces. The studding does not have a mid rail, and the roof has double staggered tenoned purlins with collars to the principal rafters.
