GV II

Barn, originally probably a house. Circa C16 or early C17 with later additions. Timber-framed, weatherboarded, on brick plinth. Gable-ended pantile roof.

5-bay barn, the 3 right hand (west) bays are narrower, later outshuts on front left and at right hand end.

North front has outshut on left, weatherboarded and with pantile lean- to roof. The west end has outshut with corrugated iron roof and at rear there is a large C20 corrugated-iron roof lean-to.

Interior: Close-studded wall-panels, mid rail, tension braces, wall and sole-plates, slightly jowled wall-posts and tie-beams (some cambered) are intact, but the braces below the tie-beams have been replaced by curved brackets and the roof above is a later slight scantling queen-post structure. There are first and second floor mullion windows on the north and south walls but the first floor of the house has been removed.
