Description
No. 6 Balderton Gate is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone alterations in the late 19th and late 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof with rebated eaves and a single ridge stack. It stands three storeys high and has a five-window range with segment-headed glazing bar sashes, two of which are blank, and the second window from the left has been reglazed. The upper level has similar windows but with smaller sashes, and the second window from the left has been altered. On the ground floor, there is a late 19th-century shop window with a plain surround and cornice, flanked by two segment-headed doors; the right door has been altered to create a showcase, while the left door features an overlight. To the right, there is a round-headed entry with a close boarded door.
