Description
This is a house located at 2 Balderton Gate in Newark on Trent, dating from the late 18th century with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick that has been colourwashed, topped with a pantile roof featuring two ridge stacks and one gable stack. It has dentillated eaves and stands two storeys high.
The front facade has a three-window range, featuring 20th-century segment-headed casements, with the leftmost window positioned between the floors. To the right, there is a segment-headed door with an overlight, while to the left of the door is a boarded-up square-headed window. Further to the left, there is a 19th-century wooden shopfront that is part of the adjoining property, number 4.
