Description
The White Hind public house is a late 18th century and early 19th century building that has been altered in the early and mid 20th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features hipped pantile and gabled slate roofs. The building has first and second floor bands and wooden modillion eaves, along with two gable stacks.
The main block, located on the right, is three storeys high and has a four-window range of segment-headed glazing bar sashes, with the second window from the left being blank. Above this, there are three smaller glazing bar sashes. On the ground floor, there is an off-centre two-leaf door flanked by a single window to the left and two windows to the right.
To the left, the corner block is two storeys tall and features a segment-headed glazing bar sash, with a corner door and a window below it. The ground floor windows are early 20th century segment-headed leaded casements. The left return, facing Balderton Gate, has a single window on each floor, with the upper window being blank.
