Description

1 Navigation Yard is a late 18th century and early 19th century house located in Newark on Trent. The building is constructed of brick and has a hipped roof covered in slate and pantile, with a single ridge stack. The eaves are rebated. It is arranged over two storeys with two single window ranges, forming an L-shaped plan. The front of the building has a renewed 12-pane sash window on the left, with two similar sashes below. The left return has a smaller, segment-headed sash window and a 20th-century door flanked to the right by a blocked window. The rear range, facing the street, features a flat-headed 12-pane sash window and a blocked doorway with a small casement inserted below. The left return of the rear range has a segment-headed 12-pane sash window and two small 20th-century casement windows below.
