Description
The Hollies is a house built around 1830, located on Victoria Street in Newark on Trent. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof, which has two ridge stacks and one gable stack. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys plus a basement.
The façade includes a first-floor band, deep eaves, and splayed lintels, with a three-window range of glazing bar sashes. Stone steps lead up to a central doorcase that is reeded and has curved brackets supporting a flat hood. The entrance features a beaded six-panel door with a geometrical overlight, flanked by single sash windows. Beneath each sash window, there is a basement window with glazing bars. On the right side of the house, there is a single sash window on each floor.
