Description

Two houses, built around 1800 and altered in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone and stucco dressings, and have pantile and concrete tile roofs. Number 72, on the right-hand side, has a rendered ground floor. The building features a plinth, bands at the levels of the first and second floors, multi-keystone splayed lintels, and two gable stacks. It is three storeys high with a three-window front, where the central window is blank. Above the original windows are similar smaller windows, with a 20th-century imitation sash window to the left. The centrally placed round-headed entry has a close-boarded door, impost detail, and a blank fanlight. On either side of the entry are reeded wooden doorcases with open pediments supported by curved brackets. The 20th-century doors have overlights. To the left of the entry is a glazing bar sash window, and to the right is a 20th-century three-light casement window. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
