Description

The pair of houses at 37 and 39 King Street date to around 1820. They are constructed of brick with stone and stucco dressings, and have a pantile roof topped by two gable stacks. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The frontages have splayed lintels. The building is two storeys high, with a three-window arrangement. A central elliptical arched opening accommodates carriage access, featuring close boarded doors. Above this opening is a plate inscribed "Eyres Yard." To either side of the carriage opening are doors, the left-hand door having an overlight, and both doors having pointed-headed scrapers. Single sashes are located beyond each door.
