Description
No. 33 Victoria Street is a house, now converted into flats, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a hipped slate roof. The building has a rendered plinth, first and second floor sill bands, moulded eaves, and reeded splayed lintels, along with two party wall stacks and one side wall stack. It stands three storeys tall plus a basement and has a square plan with a three-window range.
The main front facing Victoria Street includes three glazing bar sash windows, with the central one being a dummy, and above are three smaller sash windows, the central one being the smallest. The entrance features central steps with wrought iron handrails leading to a panelled stone doorcase that has scroll brackets supporting a flat hood. The door itself is a fielded six-panel design with an overlight, flanked by single sash windows. Below the windows, there are single cellar lights. The front facing Crown Street has a similar appearance, with central dummy windows on each floor but lacks cellar lights.
