Description
No. 25 Millgate is a shop and former store, dating from the late 18th century and mid 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features hipped slate and gabled pantile roofs, with a single coped gable. It is one bay wide and three bays deep, standing at one and two storeys high. The street-facing side has a full-width 19th-century wooden shopfront that includes a recessed half-glazed door with an overlight to the left and a 6-pane window to the right. On the left side, there is a close boarded door in the central bay, along with two glazing bar sash windows at different levels. To the left, there is a 20th-century garage door, and to the right, a blocked opening. The building is included for its group value.
