Description

Weston Mill Pottery, located in Newark on Trent, is a former maltings that was later used as an egg packers' warehouse and is now a pottery. Built around 1880, it has undergone alterations in the mid and late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped concrete tile roof. It stands five storeys tall and has a regular arrangement of windows, with three rows of six windows.

The river-facing side has a dressed stone plinth and includes a central hoist door on each floor, which has been glazed, with the ground floor now featuring a French window. On either side of the hoist doors, there is a single window. At the far end, a cross passage for vehicles has been created, featuring a two-storey opening with a concrete lintel.

On the southwest side, there is a single-storey addition from the 20th century to the left. To the right of this addition, there is a door with an external stair, flanked by single windows, followed by the cross passage and two additional windows. Below this section, there are two windows, and above, there are six windows. Each floor features a glazed door to the left and five windows to the right.

The northeast side has three windows to the right of the cross passage, while to the left, there is a door with an external stair and a window. Below this, to the right, is another door flanked by single windows. Above, on each floor, there are six windows, with a glazed hoist door located between the second and third floors. Between the fourth and fifth floors, the building displays the inscription "Newark Egg Packers Ltd." The interior features wooden floors supported by mostly round iron columns.
