Description

14 Millgate is a house built around 1835. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features gabled and hipped slate roofs. The eaves are moulded wood, and there are two coped gables with a single ridge stack. The house has two storeys and a two-window range of plain sash windows. Its square plan includes a central beaded six-panel door, which is flanked by single glazing bar sashes. The right side facing Millgate has similar window arrangements, although the lower left window is a dummy. To the right, there is a single-storey addition with a parapet and moulded coping. All openings are topped with multi keystoned lintels.
